Abstract
Transmission Control Protocol/ Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), also known as the Internet
Protocol Suite is a set of protocols that makes the Internet possible. This paper explores what
TCP/IP is and how it works, briefly regarding the similarities between the layers of TCP/IP
and OSI in passing, and concludeswith a bit of history about the Internet Protocol Suite and
its worldwide implementation.
