Describe the different types of computers. What is the most common type? What are the types of microcomputers?

 

There are four types of computers:supercomputers,mainframe computer,minicomputer,and microcomputer. The most common type of computer is microcomputer. There are six type of microcomputer:desktop,media center,notebook,tablet PC,netbook,and handheld computers.The followings are the description of the four computers.

Supercomputers are the most powerful type of computer.these machines are special high-capacity computers used by very large organizations.

Mainframe computer occupy specially wired,air-conditioned rooms.Although not nearly as powerful as supercomputers.mainframe computer are capable of great processing speeds and data storage.

Minicomputer are refrigerator-sized machines. Medium-sized companies or department of large companies typically use them for specific purpose.

 

Microcomputer are the least powerful,yet the most widely used and fastest-growing type of computer.
