  1. Open Finder and navigate to the directory in which you want to create the folder.

  2. Click on File in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.

  3. Select New Folder in the drop-down menu.

  4. Name the folder, and then press Return.

  1. Navigate to the Windows Desktop.

  2. Right-click with your mouse on any blank portion of the Desktop.

  3. In the menu that appears, click New and then Folder.

  4. A new folder will appear. Input the name of the folder you want to use then press Enter.
