IOS is a mobile operating system developed by Apple. Apple first announced the system at Macworld Conference on Jan. 9, 2007. It was originally designed for the use of the iPhone, but later it was applied to products such as iPod touch, iPad and Apple TV. IOS, like Apple's macOS operating system, is a Unix-like commercial operating system. Originally, the system was called iPhone OS, because the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch all use iPhone OS, so it was renamed IOS (IOS is a registered trademark of Cisco's network device operating system in the United States, and Apple's rename has been authorized by Cisco) at the WWDC conference in 2010.

In January 2016, with the release of version 9.2.1, Apple fixed a bug that had existed for three years. On September 22, 2018, apple secretly added the "trust rating" function based on iPhone users and other users of the company's devices to the latest operating system.

At 1 a.m. on June 4, 2019, at the WWDC Global Developers Conference in 2019, Apple released a new version of its iOS operating system. The new version of iOS can realize voice control. On September 11, Apple announced that it would launch the official iOS 13 version on September 19, 2019, to support the iPhone 6S and subsequent models.
