in my opinion, future AI may be smarter than human beings, but then again, presently i think AI is not smarter than human beings. When we speak of AI we're not only talking about the ability to do complex tasks or process large amounts of data, but the ability to learn, understand and deal with new trying situations, that is, having the skilled use of reson. and also to be able to manipulate one's environment. Machines can learn very fast but only within limited situations. For a machine tolearn, it needs to be fed data for it to process. If you take a machine into the outside world, it wouldn't perfom so well,because it needs to be fed data on how to function upon certain situation outside.  In the future though AIs may be trained and programmed to be able to overcome real world problem and probably work much more efficiently than the human mind, but to a certain extent.
