Zhang Yuxian (1938-), pen name Fengyou, male, from Yugan, Jiangxi. In 1959, he graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, majoring in sculpture. He has successively engaged in research and creation of ceramic sculpture and painting in Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute and Ceramic Research Institute of the Ministry of Light Industry. He learned from famous sculptors Zeng Longsheng and Cai Jintai.



For more than 40 years, he has created a large number of works with novel ideas and beautiful shapes, which are well-known for their vivid images, dynamic charm and delicate modalities,fusion of freehand photo .  "sharp from Grinding", "Bok Cabbage and Snail", "Jianzhen Image", "Flower God", "Girl in Yarn", "Back to Mother's Home", "Spring", "Bounce Pipa", " Jigong monk" and other works have been published in domestic and foreign newspapers and magazines. The sculpture "Eighteen Arhats" designed in cooperation has been sold popularly for a long time and is deeply loved by people . It has been exhibited in the United States, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and other countries and China's Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions for many times.

 





Good at round carving, pinching carving, engraving, relief and ceramic painting. In 1987, he was appointed as a senior arts and crafts artist. In 1994, he was awarded the title of "Jiangxi Provincial Arts and Crafts Master" by the Jiangxi Provincial Government. In 1996, he was awarded the title of "Chinese Arts and Crafts Master" by the state of China. He is a member of China Arts and Crafts Society and a distinguished professor of Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute. The achievements are listed in "Chinese Contemporary Ceramic Artists Dictionary", "Jingdezhen Ceramic Art Hundred Masters", "Chinese National Names Dictionary", "World Artists" and so on.
