» »         Annual Events on Campus The Princeton campus is host to many annual events that are held in celebration of important milestones and that add a unique charm and flavor to the community. Opening Exercises, an interfaith service in the University Chapel, traditionally marks the beginning of the academic year each fall. Throughout the year, events such as Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the International Festival and the Communiversity celebration bring members of the campus and area communities together. The academic year ends with activities including Reunions, which annually draw 20,000 people — alumni and their families — and Commencement, when undergraduate and graduate degrees are presented with pomp and circumstance on the front lawn of Nassau Hall.
