Cornell History: Llenroc June 05, 1869 Several students are at work on “Mr. Cornell’s new house,” The Cornell Era reports, describing what would become Llenroc. “One of them cuts stone, and earns a dollar every day, besides having six to eight hours for study. Only a small portion of the students now work, but it is noticed that those who work usually recite as well as those who do not.”
