Cornell History: Lax joins roster May 28, 1892 Cornell plays its first intercollegiate lacrosse game. The Big Red took on the University of Toronto, losing 10-3. The following season consisted of four games witha win over the Marcellus Lacrosse Club, 6-0. Cornell’s first winning record came in 1894 with victories over Johns Hopkins University and a team from the Onondaga Nation. The first game against upstate rival Syracuse University wasn’t until 1920.
