Cornell History: Chaperoned young women February 17, 1916 The Cornell Alumni News reports that the 190 girls and 60 chaperones on campus for junior week represented 25 states, according to The Cornell Daily Sun’s statistician. The average number of girls and chaperones per house party was 14.7, a slight increase over the previous year, when the average was 14.4. For 1916, the Sun counted “12 Helens, 12 Katherines, 8 Margarets and 8 Elizabeths, and scored 5 each for Grace, Louise, Mary and Eleanor.”来源(Source From):
