Cornell History: Christopher Reeve born January 01, 1952 Actor Christopher Reeve ’74 was born. Reeve, whose grandfather was also a Cornellian, already had significant acting experience when he arrived at Cornell. He lived in Risley Hall and contributed to its reputation as a residence for theater. He went on to achieve fame as Clark Kent/Superman in “Superman: The Movie” in 1978 and three sequels. He became paralyzed in 1995 after being thrown by a horse and later dedicated his life to activism. He was the youngest alumnus named to the “100 Most Notable Cornellians.”来源(Source From):
