Cornell History: Joe Nieuwendyk born September 10, 1966 The three-time Stanley Cup winner Joe Nieuwendyk ’88 is born. He chose to leave Cornell after three years without a degree to join the National Hockey League. He played 21 seasons in the NHL and is considered one of the greatest face-off players in hockey history. Nieuwendyk’s number (25) was retired in Lynah Rink in 2010. He is general manager of the NHL’s Dallas Stars and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011.来源(Source From):
