Cornell History: Forever floral April 26, 1971 Karin Andreevna White dies. The last survivor of A.D. White’s six children, she was born in 1893 in Helsinki while her father was U.S. minister to Russia. She graduated from Cornell with a B.S. in home economics in 1920, two years after her father died, and later became an assistant at the Nursery School at Cornell. Through her bequest, each year red and white roses are placed in Sage Chapel to commemorate her father’s birthday, Nov. 7.来源(Source From):
