Cornell History: First women's hockey game January 22, 1972 Cornell’s first women’s hockey team plays their first game, losing 14-0 to McMaster University. The second collegiate women’s hockey team in the nation (Brown University was first), the Cornell hockey women played mostly Canadian teams during its first season.
