Cornell History: Historic Arts Quad March 07, 1990 The city of Ithaca’s Common Council votes to designate the Arts Quad a local historic district and to confer historic designation on four central campus buildings: Sage Hall, Barnes Hall, Sage Chapel and, after some controversy, the Foundry.
