Cornell History: Women who lead April 22, 1991 The President’s Council of Cornell Women meets for the first time. Then-president Frank H.T. Rhodes established the council with the leadership of Lilyan Affinito '53 and Patricia Carry Stewart '50. Today the council comprises several hundred accomplished alumnae who work to enhance the involvement of women students, faculty, staff and alumnae as leaders within Cornell.
