| Dedication of the Danforth Campus On September 17, 2006, the Hilltop Campus of Washington University in St. Louis was renamed the Danforth Campus. The name honors Dr. , the 13th chancellor of the university, his family and the Danforth Foundation for the role they have played in the evolution of Washington University. Approximately 1,000 people attended the Danforth Campus dedication ceremony in Graham Chapel. Among those making remarks were Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton and David W. Kemper, then chairman of the Board of Trustees. Harold T.
