Melbourne on top in latest NHMRC Program Grants 4 March 2016 Share More Information David Scott +61 3 8344 0561 0409 024 230 Department:  Media The University of Melbourne has led the way nationally amongst all universities in the latest round of NHMRC outcomes, with Program Grants totaling $28.7 million, and scholarships worth $1.26 million.   Announced yesterday, the two Program grants will help Melbourne researchers contribute to finding innovative solutions to global health problems. A team led by Professor James McCluskey including scientists from Microbiology and Immunology in the Doherty Institute and at Monash University, will improve understanding of immunity during infection of inflammatory diseases, improving our ability to design new generation vaccines for combating infectious
