‘40 Hours for the Forty Acres’ Campaign Calls Longhorn Nation to Support UT April 25, 2016 AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas at Austin is inviting alumni, students, faculty members, staffers and friends to rally during its Wednesday and Thursday, April 27-28.   Now in its third year, this campaign has brought in more than a half million dollars to support programs and initiatives across UT Austin’s campus. In an effort to break last year’s record of more than 2,900 donors, the university has established a challenge pool, underwritten by gifts from alumni and friends recognized as Longhorn Leaders.
